Community and Services Infrastructure (Mining & Defence) Project
Projects >> Community and Services Infrastructure (Mining & Defence) Project
This Community Infrastructure Cluster (CIC) project was initiated by the Honourable Paul Caica (the Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education) in 2006. It was one of three cluster projects focussed on the direct and indirect workforce impacts of mining and defence growth in SA.
Three Industry Skills Boards worked collaboratively on this project. These were the SA Health & Community Services Skills Board, the Food, Tourism & Hospitality Industry Skills Advisory Council SA and Service Skills SA who collectively represent the "community infrastructure" industry sectors.
Key Objectives:
-
To create a regional workforce development facilitation model that can be applied across the regions in South Australia
-
To gather and disseminate workforce development information in the region
-
To assess industry workforce development capability
-
To develop workforce development solution via two strategic pilot projects (retail/hospitality and health)
